FPE Capital announces appointment of Claire Sweet to its investment team as it further strengthens its software and services focus

FPE Capital LLP (‘FPE’), the specialist software and services growth investor into UK and Irish lower mid-market companies, is further expanding its investment team with the appointment of Claire Sweet as Investment Manager. Claire is the firm’s fifth new investment team hire by FPE Capital since raising its second fund, FPE Fund II.

Claire joins FPE Capital from KPMG, where she was a member of the firm’s TMT M&A Advisory team and where she focussed in particular in the technology and health-tech sectors. Prior to joining this TMT team role, Claire worked in KPMG’s assurance practice. Her career has also recently included an operational role, on secondment, with Fishawack Health, a private equity backed leading global provider of outsourced pharmaceutical consulting services.

These appointments mark a further step in the development of the FPE Capital investment team as it continues its strong sector focus on the software and services sector and follows FPE’s investment into leading digital health platform Togetherall in October 2020. Last week, FPE announced the highly successful first exit from its Fund II, selling its investment in IWSR, the leading global data provider to the drinks industry.

David Barbour, Managing Partner at FPE Capital, commented:

We are delighted that Claire is joining us at an exciting point in the development of FPE Capital. In particular it is important to us that she was attracted to bringing her sector knowledge to a specialist firm where she can use that knowledge in partnership with high growth software and services businesses and in a team that has a proven and established focus on these sectors.
