FPE Capital announces two promotions to Investment Director as team continues successful software and services growth investment strategy

FPE Capital LLP (‘FPE’), the specialist software and services growth private equity investor in UK and Irish lower mid-market businesses, is delighted to announce the promotions of Chris Kay and Connor Trendell to Investment Director. The promotions mark a further step in the development of the investment team as FPE builds one of the largest software focussed teams in the lower and middle market.

Chris and Connor each joined the team shortly after the raising of Fund II and have been deeply involved in the investment of Fund II and the ongoing realisations from the first fund programme.

Chris Kay joined FPE Capital as an Investment Manager from PwC’s global TMT Advisory team. He has worked on new platform investments at leading Microsoft implementation consultancy TNP, labelling SaaS specialist Kallik and mostly recently contact centre SaaS business MaxContact and on the highly successful exits at oil and gas software business Ikon Science and payment software and services leader CreditCall. Chris leads FPE regional market coverage in the north-west of England.

Connor Trendell joined FPE Capital as an Investment Manager from Deloitte’s global TMT Advisory team. He has worked on new platform investments at leading global alcohol data and information player IWSR and pan-European cyber software consultancy Intragen, on the highly successful exit at HCM SaaS business Kallidus and recently led the bolt-on acquisition of Pebble IT by ITMS provider Optimity. Connor leads FPE regional market coverage on the island of Ireland, in Scotland and in the north-east of England.

David Barbour, Co-Managing Partner at FPE Capital, commented:

I am delighted that Connor and Chris are stepping up into the Investment Director role and congratulate them both. They will play an increasing leadership role as the team expands. When they joined us they each brought to the team strong technology sector experience and have now proven their strong commitment to and deep understanding of our software and services focus and of the growth capital investing life-cycle.
