Ben Cole promoted to Investment Director and Harry Gill joins its investment team as FPE further develops its team following successful Fund III raise

FPE Capital LLP (‘FPE’), the specialist software and services growth investor into UK and Irish lower mid-market companies, announces the promotion of Ben Cole to Investment Director and the further expansion of its investment team with the recruitment of Harry Gill as Investment Manager. Ben has been with FPE since 2019, when he joined to lead the firm’s Origination activities and Harry Gill joins the investment team following the successful recent Fund III raise which saw FPE raise the new fund’s hard cap to final close at £185m.

Harry Gill joins FPE Capital from BDO where he was a Manager in the Corporate Finance team, performing financial and vendor due diligence to support UK and international transactions across a wide range of sectors, in particular focussing on the technology and media sectors.

The promotion and new appointment mark further steps in the development of the FPE Capital investment team as it continues its strong sector focus on the software and services sector and follows FPE’s second investment from the new Fund III announced [last week] when it became the first institutional investors into [Palladia], a leading provider of financial service software to the UK wealth management sector. During 2021, FPE closed 5 successful exits including 4 from its Fund II, at an average exit multiple of 3.9x, returning the whole fund and leaving seven further portfolio companies in the fund.

David Barbour, Managing Partner at FPE Capital, commented:

“Ben’s promotion is testament to the strong contribution he has made to our business and to our fundraising, and we are delighted that Harry is joining us to strengthen the investment team further at an exciting point in the growth of FPE Capital.”
