FPE Capital LLP (‘FPE’), the software & services specialist lower mid-market growth investor, announced today that its portfolio company Intragen, a leading European provider of identity and access management (IAM) solutions, has acquired the Finland-based IAM Business Unit of Telia, the Swedish multinational telecommunications company and mobile network operator. The acquisition is set to transform the Nordic IAM landscape and bring numerous advantages to clients in the region. The acquisition will result in a threefold expansion of Intragen Finland, establishing it as the largest provider of IAM solutions in the country.

Alex Fagioli, CEO of Intragen

Intragen has already made a significant impact in the Nordic markets, especially within the public sector, earning the trust of numerous local government and healthcare providers. This acquisition will amplify Intragen's capabilities and make the company the definitive one-stop-shop solution for all access and identity needs in the Nordic region. He adds, “We look forward to welcoming the Telia Finland IAM Business Unit employees to the Intragen team.

Intragen's market strength and commitment to customer satisfaction has recently earned the company notable accolades, including the prestigious One Identity Top Nordics Partner and Top EMEA Partner Awards in 2022. This latest strategic move reinforces Intragen's position as a trusted and globally recognised provider of IAM solutions.

David Barbour, Managing Partner of FPE Capital

Since our investment in Intragen from Fund II, the business has built on its existing strength in the UK, Netherlands and Finland with a successful move into the German market, and with this acquisition of Telia Finland's IAM business is now further strengthening its position in the Nordic market. In May 2022, FPE successfully closed Fund III at £186m, the firm’s third software and services focussed fund, allowing us to continue our focus of investing in software and services focussed companies such as Intragen and to build on the firm’s strong track record of being the first institutional investor into founder and entrepreneur-led businesses.

Intragen was advised and supported by Jurisystems Oy and Stephenson Harwood LLP.
