Vanda has appointed Mark Hepsworth as its new Chair following FPE’s investment earlier this year.
Mark has built a career of more than 25 years in financial services across technology, data and analytics. He previously held senior management positions with Interactive Data (now ICE Data Services), which was acquired by SilverLake Partners and Warburg Pincus in 2010 and subsequently successfully sold to InterContinental Exchange (ICE) in 2016. Most recently, he has been CEO of Alveo, a market leader in financial data management, taking the company through three successful periods of private equity ownership, including with its latest investor, leading US software investor Symphony Technology Group (STG). Supported by STG, Alveo has recently acquired and merged with Gresham Technologies which was previously listed on the London Stock Exchange. As part of this merger, Mark has stepped up to Executive Chair of the new group, now known as Gresham. He is also a non-executive director at Exchange Data International, a privately held, global financial data company and was previously on the board of GRP Insurance, one of the UK’s largest insurance brokers while it was backed by Searchlight Capital before a successful trade sale.
Vanda has developed a unique research and data proposition, driven by proprietary quantitative models, delivering tactical macro and strategic investment analysis for traders and investors globally. Its institutional products leverage positioning and flow data to support short-term trading decisions. With offices in the UK, US, and APAC, Vanda serves a global clientele of top-tier investment banks, hedge funds, and asset managers. FPE’s recent investment will enable Vanda to advance its go-to-market strategy and accelerate growth.
