Following FPE’s investment in 2019, Intragen grew revenues more than fivefold, delivering year-on-year growth at exit of >35% and maintaining a strong balance between growth and profitability. At exit, the business exceeded the Rule of 50 and was positioned as one of Europe’s leading Identity and Access Management (IAM) services platforms.
Cybersecurity services is a core focus area for FPE, reflecting its increasing importance as organisations seek to protect systems and data across more complex and distributed environments.
Over the course of the partnership, FPE worked closely with the management team to support a step-change in Intragen’s leadership, strategy and scale, positioning the business for its next phase of growth.
FPE supported Intragen over the course of our investment period by:
Leadership and governance: Appointment of a high-quality, experienced CEO, Alex Fagioli, in April 2022 and the build-out of a high-performing executive team.
Platform development: Evolution from a specialist identity consultancy into a scaled Identity and Access Management services platform, including the development of a managed services offering
Commercial model and partnerships: Shift to a vendor-aligned commercial strategy and the development of deep partnerships with leading IAM vendors, including One Identity and Okta.
Geographic expansion: Expansion across the UK, Benelux, Nordics, and DACH, including the establishment of a Centre of Excellence in Finland and a market-leading academy in Greece.
M&A: Origination and execution of three complementary acquisitions, adding scale, specialist capability in new vendor ecosystems, and a broader blue-chip customer base.
